Flex + Stretch: A 4 week Introduction to Yoga for Complete Beginners.
If you shy away from attending a public yoga class this may well be for you … this is a closed group of no more than 5 women who want to start together from the very very beginning. Held in the beautiful River Holistic Yoga Room we meet weekly for 4 weeks and roll out that yoga mat together.
Together * we learn to warm up safely * explore gentle stretching and simple movements that we can enjoy on the mat and on the chair * work our way through the yoga foundations * we learn how to find stability and balance in the body we’ve got * we discover how strong we actually are and how to build strength if we so wish * we learn a little about breathing and why it matters * we will relax and rest * and we will have plenty of fun in the process and by the end of it we have started on our very own yogic exploration, experienced new movement, enjoyed and learnt plenty about yoga, resting, connection, compassion and possibly about ourselves.
And the main thing: We started … and with a bit of luck we have a small group of fellow yogis to keep us going. What to Bring + your own yoga mat and a bottle of water + come in comfortable clothing that allow for movement (it doesn’t have to be leggings, be comfy)
