Chair Yoga classes are specially designed for those with reduced mobility, anyone who finds it hard to get on or off the floor. All movement and yoga poses are adapted so they can be practiced while sitting in a chair or standing on the floor and using the chair as a support.
Chair Yoga is a wonderful way to keep mobile, maintain or improve strength and overall health. We meet in the River Yoga Studio, a beautiful room with natural lighting. There will be a few yoga mats laid out, each with a chair in the middle plus some additional props such as a block and a blanket just in case you need some additional support for the practice.
Who can take my chair yoga classes?
* All chair yoga classes are suitable for adults of all ages who would not be able to practice yoga on the floor * Please note that the class takes place upstairs so you will need to be able navigate stairs by yourself * Please bring a bottle of water * Chairs and any other equipment will be provided for your class Weekly on Fridays 11:30 – 12:30 6 week block from August 7 th €99, Drop in welcome €18
