About the Event

Do you feel stressed and overwhelmed on a regular basis?

Do you wake up feeling stressed about the day ahead?

Robyns mission is to help you enhance your health and well-being by teaching you stress management tools to reduce the health burden of Chronic Stress. Chronic stress is linked to a wide variety of health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, sleeping problems and digestive issues. It is the response to emotional pressure suffered for a prolonged period of time during which we feel as though we have little or no control. The repeated exposure to these situations leads to the release of stress hormones such as cortisol. Unfortunately, we cannot avoid stress but we can manage how we perceive and manage it in our lives.

During this 3 hour workshop you will learn about:

  • Identifying stressors in your life
  • How to activate The Relaxation Response
  • How to quieten your mind to create inner peace and better health
  • Nutrition and stress management
  • Emotional eating as a response to stress and how to overcome it
  • Meditation and mindfullness including guided practices to add into your day
  • The important relationship between spirituality and stress
  • Take home handouts

The small numbers taken in this workshop ensures there is time for your situation to be addressed and you receive tailored guidance to help you.

Robyn has studied mindfulness and meditation in holistic nursing care alongside stress management strategies for Chronic stress. She has experience assisting clients in her private clinic with implementing individualised stress management tools and  regularly works with clients to assist them with managing emotional eating. Stress management is the foundation of health and Robyn believes it should be the primary aspect of health that is addressed. Doing so also maximises our ability to improve nutrition and increase physical activity. This workshop is designed to provide you with valuable information from a holistic approach while offering a relaxing and restoring experience in the beautiful River Holistic Centre.
