Spring Yin and Yoga Nidra Workshop

Spring Yin and Yoga Nidra Workshop

Spring Renewal: Working with the Wood Element to Start a New Cycle

Date: Sunday 1st March 12-2pm

Cost: €30

Wood is connected to spring as it is a about renewal and expansion. The central characteristic of Wood is growth and change. This is most yang phase.

The Wood element in Chinese Medicine is associated with the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians. Energetically, the Liver smooths the flow of Qi and thus allows us to create and execute change. The Gallbladder is necessary for the change to occur, as it is the organ responsible for making decisions. When we target these areas in our YIN practice, we stimulate the energy flow in Meridians and energy channels that may have been previously blocked which can have an effect of on clearing the body-mind-spirit connection.

The energy of spring helps us tap into our creativity, vision, imagination and dreams. For many people, the start of New Year marks a new cycle and beginning; a time for reflection and creation of intentions for the year ahead.

We will conclude with a grounding YOGA NIDRA practice which will invite a time for awakening and rebirth.

Workshop is suitable for all levels but not for pregnant students.

We will conclude with a grounding YOGA NIDRA practice which will invite a time for awakening and rebirth using Pine Essential Oil to immerse into the forest!

Please wear warmer clothes for yin practice as we will not be heating up the body. Yin is a slow, simple calming practice; it is about finding stillness and calming the body. Please also bring a bottle with water to drink.
