What it is and what are the benefits?

Teenagers, like us all, feel pressure bearing down from a variety of sources. Never more so then the end of the school year with exams approaching. This 6 week mindfulness is designed specifically to help combat stress and anxiety and enhance focus and concentration giving self confidence and calm. Places limited to 8 at an investment of €65.”

Try this:  While you are sitting there, focus your attention on your breath. Observe it, feel it move in and move out. Bring your attention to your belly. Observe it, feel it move in and out with the breath. The breath and the body moving together like two dancers.  Keep watching. Keep feeling. If your mind wanders, don’t worry. Don’t judge. Just bring your attention back to the breath.  This is mindfulness.

Teenagers understand mindfulness. Teenagers embrace mindfulness. They want to feel calm and learn how to help themselves feel calm. They may not have the tools to help themselves self calm, self regulate or self soothe. Mindfulness gives the teenager ways to do this in a fun manner that makes sense to them. Another tool in the all important toolkit for life.

Mindfulness for Teens starts on Thursday the 27th of April at 5.00pm in River Holistic Centre, Raheny. Places are limited so contact us for booking.
