Yin Yoga with Colette

90minute Drop In Yin Yoga Class every Tuesday & Thursday at 8:40pm  €15 a class
“Medicine for your Nervous System”

90minute Yin Yoga Class in Dublin 5 – a perfect complement to the dynamic yoga styles that dominate the modern practice. In this gentle journey, we embrace floor postures, cradling them in stillness for a blissful 5 minutes or more. This deliberate pause allows us to delve into the deep layers of connective tissue within our bodies, fostering a safe yet transformative ‘stress’.

Physically, this extended hold becomes a dance of transformation for our tissues – shaping them, reforming them, making them longer, thicker, and stronger. On an energetic level, we stimulate acupressure points and meridian lines, channelling revitalizing energy to our organs. Amidst the hush of stillness and silence, Yin Yoga becomes a serene preparation for deeper experiences in meditation.

What to Bring:
🧘‍♀️ A yoga mat
🧘‍♀️ Two blankets
🧘‍♀️ Embrace warmth in comfy, loose clothing

What I Provide:
🧘‍♀️ Essential oils
🧘‍♀️ Yoga Blocks
🧘‍♀️ Diffuser
🧘‍♀️ Candles

Join me for a session that acts as soothing medicine for your nervous system. The challenge in Yin Yoga often transcends the physical, offering a mental journey into the depths of our connective tissue.

And oh, the sleep that follows a Yin class is truly like no other. Be prepared for a restorative experience that lingers far beyond the mat. 🌙✨ “

Class Trainer

Colette Harte

Hello! I’m Colette a vibrant 48-year-old navigating life with a passion for holistic well-being. My journey began in the corporate world, spanning nearly two decades, until a transformative shift led me to the world of fitness and holistic health.

In 2006, I immersed myself in fitness instruction, earning credentials from NCEHS. What started as a quest for smarter training evolved into teaching Interval Training classes to my colleagues during the week. Fridays became a serene end to their busy workweeks with my popular Yin Yoga classes.

My connection to holistic healing runs deep. From a young age, I witnessed the profound impact of Reflexology on my mum during her battles with cancer. Inspired by her Reflexologist who eased her pain enormously, I became one myself in 2014, subsequently dedicating time to volunteer with ARC Cancer Care on South Circular Road.

In 2018, life threw a curveball when I discovered a lump in my right breast. The initial shock turned into a triumphant journey to recovery. Five years later, I stand cancer-free and invigorated. I’ve made it my mission to share the lessons learned, providing insights into wellness that extend beyond the physical. My motto remains to be “If you don’t make time for your wellness, you may be forced to make time for your illness.”

For years, I shared the serenity of Yin Yoga at River Holistic in Raheny, fostering a warm community & I am absolutely delighted to be returning to Claire’s sanctuary, every Tues & Thursday evening, offering drop ins until Easter. “
