Cacao Ceremony

Cacao Ceremony

Cacao Ceremony
River Holistic | Friday 10 th Feb | 7:30pm-9:30pm

Join me, Olivia, for an evening of slowness, replenishment and rest. Practices that soothe the nervous system and bring the mind, body and soul into harmony:
Cacao Ceremony
Journaling
Breathwork
Restorative movement
Guided Meditation

The theme of this evening will be self-love. With the support of cacao, a gentle plant medicine that helps us to get out of our heads and into our hearts, where we experience deeper meditation and relaxation.
Maybe you need some healing, some rest, or some help being present. Or maybe something you’d like to manifest in your life. Come along with an intention, whatever it is, you are so welcome here. I’ve prepared this ceremony with so much love. I hope you can join me.
With heart,
Olivia

More about the gathering:
A Cacao Ceremony is a place slow down, unravel, and connect deeply to yourself. Through
intention, a cacao ceremony can help in releasing what no longer serves you, calling magic
into your life, getting clarity, setting intentions, and so much more.
Every cacao facilitator will do their ceremonies differently. My intention is to make everyone
feel:
〰️ Welcome
〰️ Rested
〰️ Nurtured
〰️ Themselves
〰️ Calm
〰️ Reflective
〰️ Connected to their body & soul
〰️ Safe to feel whatever they need to feel
There’s no sharing, or any group interaction. It’s very much an inner experience. Slow and grounding.

The restorative movement is slow paced and suitable for all levels, to help connect with your body, bringing love and attention to parts of our inner selves that need it. It’s not about burning calories or anything strenuous. It’s about moving intuitively, to build the habit of listening to your body.

What is Cacao?
While chocolate is derived from cacao, raw ceremonial grade cacao is made with integrity in Guatemala and Peru, the lands from which it comes from. It has been ethically produced by the indigenous people who have used it for ceremonial, spiritual and medicinal purposes for centuries and honor its sacredness.
Cacao, sometimes referred to as Mama Cacao, is a gentle plant medicine that works with your consciousness almost like a gentle, nurturing hug from Mother Earth herself.
Cacao is a heart opener, both energetically and physically, helping us to get out of our heads and into our hearts, where deeper meditation and connection with ourselves can happen with ease.
Cacao is also a superfood containing anandamide, theobromine, magnesium, iron and flavanoids.
Anandamide – Known as the “bliss molecule”, the word “Ananda” is sanskrit and means happiness and really helps to boost our mood and feelings of love, joy and acceptance.
Theobromine – Promotes the release of dopamine with cognitive enhancement properties it improves our focus and concentration, helping us get much deeper into our meditation and helps with connecting to our inner selves.
Cacao is packed with magnesium, iron, calcium, anti-oxidants and other things that make it
one of the world’s most nourishing superfoods.

Please make sure to bring:
– Yoga Mat
– Pen and Journal
– Any crystals or important items you would like to add to the altar
– Water

Please read to prepare for drinking Cacao:
 Avoid caffeinated drinks at least 5 hours before the Ceremony, if possible avoid
completely on the day.
 Avoid heavy meals 3 hours before.
 All of these recommendations are to create a clean channel within our bodies to allow the Cacao to be absorbed better and the energy to flow freely without any obstacles.
 These are just reccommendations but always listen to your body and only do what
feels right to you.

Health Precautions:
If you are taking anti-depressants, SSRI’s, have heart conditions, just have half the cup of cacao that I serve. Same goes for pregnancy, unless you consume it regularly and know that you are ok with it.
