YIN & YOGA NIDRA WORKSHOP

To start off the class, Kaye will guide you through a guided meditation followed by yin yoga sequence where we let go and let our breath takes us to our edge until we surrender our body fully.

 

Yin Yoga is a very slow paced class where we hold the poses for 2-5 mins and let the body surrender without forcing or pulling. You can, if you are aware, actually feel the change from contractile tissue stretching, to feeling it relax and the tension being taken up by the ligaments, fascia and joint capsules.

 

Yin Yoga is very healing for the body because it brings pressure to these non-contractile tissues and allows them to be slowly stressed and safely stretched to accommodate a more balanced feeling, physically and energetically in the body.

 

Yoga Nidra is also known as a yogic sleep. It promotes deep rest and relaxation. The stages of body scan and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health. It also offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions.

Allow yourself to be soft, surrender and heal.
